Details: The strategy, sport, and structure of the 64-square chess board has inspired great artists as long as chess has challenged our minds. Introduce yourself to the game of chess, learn the deep connections between the game of kings and art, and explore your own creativity.

Star Instructor: Toni Deline
Featuring chess instruction by Canadian National Chess Tournament Director Toni Deline. In 1975, at the age of 16, he was Guinness Book of Records World Marathon Chess Champion and champion of his Ontario city.
He was President of the B.C. Chess Federation from 1998 to 2000 and captain of the Vancouver Chess Team 2007-10. He also has taught chess in Vancouver schools and other venues since 1999 and coached numerous private students, many of whom were B.C. grade school champions.
Fresh, Fit, & Phenomenal - Health and Fitness

Details: This camp designed for young women is all about empowering yourself and taking the time to be the healthiest version of you. Spend the week immersed in yoga, dance, nutrition, self-esteem building, writing, and creative projects.
Your Young Lady Will Learn: Fitness, meditation, mindfulness, nutrition, creativity.
Featuring the instruction of the team at Core Potentials Academy. Becca Nielsen's upbringing challenged her unique observations of the world and pushed her to research and study many different forms of energy healing modalities ~ Yoga, Healing Touch, Meditation, Herbs and Healing, and Holistic Nutrition.
Britt Nielsen grew up as a dancer and came back to Vancouver after studying business at Stanford University to start Core Potentials. Britte decided to finish her designation in holistic nutrition from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and also become an Osteopathic practitioner.

STEM Robotics Lab - Science and Technology
July 30-August 3; August 7-10
Ages 7-12; 13-18
Details: Join us for this multi-level camp where kids use LEGO Windstorms to create a robot that solves a problem, then compete with other students at the end of the camp to see how their creations perform.
Benefits: Critical thinking, engineering, math, coding, creativity.
Featuring instruction from KEY STEM and Robotics Coach Scott Morgan. An engineer by training, Scott naturally gravitated to teaching robotics as an extension of that work. For the last twenty years, he has taught adults and kids science and technology, including serving as a trainer for Honeywell and a term as the Vancouver School Board Scientist In Residence.

The Slime Lab - Science
July 30-August 3; August 7-10
Ages 7-12
Details: Join us for this full-on immersion into experimental science exploring fundamentals and fun through chemistry, physics, biology, and art. Kids will have the opportunity to create their own science projects each day.
Benefits: Hands-on activities, science fundamentals, critical thinking, engineering.
Featuring the instruction of former H.R. MacMillan Planetarium Program Developer Wanda LaClaire. She has designed and implemented hands-on workshops, demos, classroom programs, small stage demo shows, as well as large theatre productions to educate all ages about science in a fun and engaging manner. Wanda is all about the girl power, encouraging young women to choose a career in science.
